PreviewQt can be installed in various different ways. The latest version can always be installed as a Snap package (see here for instructions) for all distributions, as flatpak (see here for instructions), or as standard application through the PPA below (for Ubuntu 24.04 or later).
PreviewQt can be found in the PPA for photoqt. To add this PPA to your system, open a terminal and type the following one line at a time (don't include the dollar symbol):
$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:lumas/photoqt
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install previewqt
