PreviewQt File Previewer

Windows

There are two ways you can install PreviewQt on Windows:

1. You can either install it directly from the Microsoft Store: Open in Store app (webpage), or use winget: winget install PreviewQt

2. Alternatively you can also install the latest version using this offline installer: PreviewQt v4.0 (64-Bit) (checksums)

If you are interested in a portable version of PreviewQt, you can find the latest version in portable form here: PreviewQt Portable v4.0 (64-Bit) (checksums). Note that due its nature it will be a little slower to start than the normal versions, and it also is not associated with any file type. However, it stores all its configuration data in a hidden folder next to the executable, perfect for putting it onto a USB stick and take it with you (for example).

When launching the installer, you might be greeted by a warning stating that "Windows protected your PC" (the so-called Microsoft SmartScreen).
In order to run the installer, simply click on "More info" and a button "Run anyway" will appear near the bottom.

You can verify the authenticity of the installer by checking the Publisher, it should say Open Source Developer, Lukas Spies. Over time, as more and more people install PreviewQt, this warning will start to disappear.
